For Participants: Pilot Study
The Sun Exposure and vitamin D Supplementation (SEDS) Study was funded by Cancer Australia in early 2013 to compare the use of sun exposure advice and vitamin D supplementation in the management of mild vitamin D deficiency. Before starting the SEDS Study, we aim to test the feasibility and acceptability of the protocols, questionnaires, sun exposure advice and measuring instruments in a small group of adult volunteers – this will be the SEDS Study: PILOT. The SEDS Study: PILOT will be undertaken in Brisbane as this is one of the SEDS Study regions and also has sufficient intensity of ultraviolet (UV) radiation during winter to be able to detect differences in the amount of UV radiation that people receive.
There is a page About the Pilot Study, which has some information about what being in the sun will involve.
There is also some information about who is conducting the pilot study.
Finally, there are some Online Forms for those who have already agreed to be part of our study.
